imageMany Internet users would be curious and skeptic as to what would change if we change IP. There might also be Internet users who would think that they are safe enough without having to hide their IP address. There are a billion users browsing the Web everyday, so the chance of becoming a target of hackers and malicious Internet users would be one in a billion. This is how one would normally think. But thoughts like these can be your downfall in the end when indeed you do become a target for the hackers. Are you willing to wait for this to happen to you? You shouldn’t and you should use every means of protection there is. If a cyber criminal hits you, it might be too late for you to protect yourself. It might not be a direct change for us who would like to see concrete results, but changing our IP really does makes some significant changes. All are important and positive changes. We will benefit more than we will lose in moving to change IP. We will be able to protect ourselves more and avoid malicious online users. For those who think that they will be safe even if they use their real IP addresses, they will be in much more danger than those who opt for anonymous surfing. One should never think that they’ll never be within the scope of cyber crimes. And even if we are not dealing with cyber crimes like identity theft, a change in IP can still be beneficial for Internet users. We can avoid unwanted traffic and spam with hiding our IP addresses, too. After all, it is not just the cyber criminals who are interested in knowing your real IP address. Even friendly business websites also track down your IP address in order to send you promotions and pop-ups and spam emails. Hiding and changing our IP can make this go away. True, this is not the perfect protection we can have. There is still no absolute protection against privacy invasion and data theft. The Web evolves so quickly that there will always be a new threat lurking by. The best we can do for now is to change IP.

Has anyone tried the hypnosis weight loss program Zen of Thin by Wendi??

I am curious to know if anyone has tried anykind of Hypnosis weight loss program, and more specifically, the one by Wendi (from Wendi.com) Zen of Thin. I am very faccinated to know if this works since Wendi deals with the underlying issues of why we emotionally eat and subconciously sabatage ourselves and our goals, and helps to motivate us to eat better and exercise from another level of our brain, with not just thinking power, but acting power. I mean, it would be great if I could have the same force that drives me to the cookie jar even when I don’t want to, suddenly being re-directed to go to the fruit drawer in the fridge instead. It seems like my sweet addictions are subconcious, so why not the cure to them be subconcious as well?? Just a curious thought. Please let me know of all good and bad experiences with this topic (please no skeptical opinions, just experiences)… Thanks!!

imageHypnosis is still often associated with mysteries. Do you like watching TV shows featuring some hypnotist who hypnotises people and then makes them do embarrassing things in front of a multi-million audience? Or you like reading old horror stories about hypnosis and vampires?
The point is that all you see in TV is a show, not hypnosis and the old horror books are, well, just old horror books. There are so many misconceptions about hypnosis that it is still a wonder how it managed to go through all that. So, here are a few words about what hypnosis really is and isn’t.
First of all, all legitimate hypnotherapists are well-educated and trained people, usually psychologists or with a psychology background. They are able to help us overcome our fears and challenges. Smoking, overeating, bedwetting or outright shyness are only a few examples of what can be healed using hypnosis. The sad thing is that the misconceptions arising around hypnosis mean that a lot of people are and will be discarding hypnosis as an effective healing/self-help method.
There are lots of people who still believe that everyone loses his will the moment he becomes hypnotized, just as in TV shows. However the truth is that for a better part a state of hypnosis is just a moment when our concentration and focused attention are at maximum. To put it blankly: while under hypnosis you are totally aware of your surroundings and you can do whatever you want, though you are opened on hypnotherapist’s positive suggestions (but only because you want it).
Another common myth is believing that while under hypnosis you go into some amnesia-like state and you can’t remember what happened during the session. Nothing is further from the truth. Of course there is still some people that are able to drift away completely, but most of us will remember every word said during the session.
As you probably expect, the conception of hypnosis that is able to create a hypnotic state without your consent is also false. You simply have to be a wiling patient to let hypnosis work. In short, as soon as the hypnotist or hypnotherapist starts telling you the positive suggestions, you have to be willing to accept them or the hypnosis will never work.
The only problem is the fact that the practice of hypnosis is not strictly regulated, at least in most states. As the results there are many wannabes with no real experience. If you choose the professional you’d like to work with, you should choose him wisely.
The best call would be a certified hypnotist, with at least 200 hours of training. Of course even a certified hypnotist should not provide any other type of treatment. Hypnotherapist, however, is completely another story. They are typically a medical or healthcare professional who adds hypnosis to his or her existing genre. Hypnotherapist has also usually undergone the extensive training at a university, often coupled with some healthcare and medical training.
When you’re choosing a hypnotist or hypnotherapist, the key is being able to ask the right questions such as:
Do you have enough specific training in a field?
What hypnosis school did you attend and what type of license do you hold?
Are you licensed in my state?
How long have you been practicing?
What professional organizations do you belong to?
If you’re a hypnotist, how much training time do you have on you, from what school, and what specific training have you undergone.
When you are hypnotized by a professional that has passed the test above, you can sit back and rest, there rest should be in good hands.
