Using Hypnosis Mind Power to Lose Weight

If you have ever tried to stick to a diet using will-power, then you know for most it is an uphill battle. For one thing, everybody has to eat. For another thing, eating is social. It is difficult to journal and keep track of what you eat. Most people who cook their own food or cook for others find it difficult not to taste what is cooked. This food tasting hardly ever gets into a food journal. Also some of the thoughts and behaviors related to eating are automatic. It is very difficult in a busy life to monitor all of this. For these reasons, hypnosis can succeed when will-power has failed. First, Hypnosis helps you to be more aware of what you are doing. Increased mindfulness makes it easier to catch the food tasting before you taste the food. You are also more aware of thoughts and feelings that trigger cheating on your diet. By stopping the unwanted thoughts before they can lead to behaviors, you win by stopping the cheating before it gets started. This gives you improved self efficacy. Seeing your successes before you achieve them makes your successes more real. Your mind begins to support you in your goal to lose weight. Your metabolism works faster. This faster metabolism makes it easier to lose weight. This works because your subconscious mind is in control of bodily functions. As you visualize your weight loss, it acts like a good servant and does your bidding. Also seeing your success over time increases belief. Whatever you believe, you can achieve. Your mind builds whatever you believe. Safety is very important in this matter. Your weight loss should be realistic and healthy. Giving your subconscious mind the suggestion to promote your good in all of its work promotes safety. Seeing people who have achieved a weight loss goal who you admire is helpful as well. These people help in becoming a mastermind group for you in the hypnosis. Their admiration and encouragement spurs you on to success. They can advise you, encourage you and give you a positive image of success. They increase your belief as well. Since if they can do it, you can as well. Negative comments from others can be ignored. You have the daily positive reinforcement in your hypnosis cd. This positive reinforcement can often outweigh negativity that you receive on a daily basis. When your success begins to be noticed by others, you get positive encouragement from the outside world as well. This deepens your commitment to succeed at your goal to lose the weight.
